میں ہو رہا تھا اس کے اظہار کے لیے ہم اس Tense کو استعمال کرتے ہیں۔
یہ آپ جانتے ہوں گے
کہ انگریزی میں ایک Verb کی پانچ قسمیں ہوتی ہیں۔

Main Verb کی Present Participle Form آتی ہے۔

progress in the past”.
You would be known that there is five kinds of verb in
English.
Present Participle of the Main Verb is used in Present Progressive.

You, We, They, any Plural Name کے ساتھ
wereآتا ہے۔
He, She, It اور any
Singular name کے ساتھ was آتا ہے۔
We use “was” for I, “were” for You, We, They
and any Plural Name “was” for He, She, It and any Singular Name in this Tense.

Affirmative جملے بنانے کے لیے سب سے پہلے Subject آتا ہے، پھر was / wereآتا ہے، پھر Present Participle آتا ہے، پھر Extra Words آتے ہیں۔
Word order for affirmative sentence.
Sub + was / were + Present Participle + Extra words.
Examples:
I was teaching you last night.
You were sitting here.
You were reading Learn English in Urdu’s post.
He was learning French.
Negative جملے بنانے کے لیے سب سے پہلے Subject آتا ہے، پھر was / were آتا ہے،پھر not آتا ہے، پھر Present Participle آتا ہے، پھر Extra Words آتے ہیں۔
Word order for affirmative sentence.
Sub + was / were + not + Present Participle +
Extra words.
Examples:
I was not walking.
You were not eating biryani.
You were not watching TV.
He was not learning Spanish.
Interrogative جملے بنانے کے لیے سب سے پہلے Is/Am/Are آتا ہے، پھر Subjectآتا ہے، پھر Present Participle آتا ہے، پھر Extra Words آتے ہیں۔اگر W-H Words ہوتے ہیں تو وہ سب سے پہلے آتے ہیں۔
Word order for affirmative sentence.
(W-H Words) Was / Were + Sub + Present Participle + Extra words.
Examples:
Was I teaching you?
Were you listening me?
